Most of the time, watchmakers go out of their way to protect movements from shocks and vibrations. Richard Mille takes a different route and actually invites them into this 30-piece limited edition, developed in partnership with Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ). Introduced into wristwatches in the mid-twentieth century, a typical alarm function makes a loud noise. Richard Mille has designed its alarm to fit the subdued surroundings of an Airbus private jet, silently waking its corporate globetrotter by vibrating against the wrist. A natural companion to this alarm function is a second time zone indication, shown by a varnished green UTC hand. It sits at the centre of the sapphire dial, along with an oversize date display, a tourbillon and a power-reserve indicator. This high-mech package is accentuated by the powerful lines of a case in titanium and Carbon TPT®.
